About Steve Graul
Steve Graul is the Director of Operations and Business Development as well as a licensed RealtorA® affiliated with AmeriTeam Realty, Orlando Florida. His specialties include: Luxury Homes, New Home Construction, Commercial and Global Real Estate with an expertise in Social Media Marketing, International Bridging, Market Analysis as well as Training and Recruiting Real Estate Agents. One thing home buyers may not take into consideration is an exit strategy. I know I may sound like I’m thinking like an investor, but take into consideration what if you have to take care of your elderly relatives, you plan on having kids and the home is too small, are the school districts any good? Who will be your future buyer for your home? These are just some of the points you may want to consider prior to purchasing.
Just like the selling side the home buying process is also an emotional step so you should consider approaching the home with a checklists of items that you want in a home, granted not all homes will have everything you want so be open to adapting and don’t let anyone especially your Realtor push you into buying. This is one the biggest decisions and purchases you may make so make sure you’re comfortable before making an offer.
Financing is another important thing to factor in. The last thing you want to do is go house hunting, fall in love with a home and realize it’s not in your price range. Approach this with caution as not all lenders are created equally, some do their own underwriting which can give you more options and other do not which limits your options. I recommend talking with your Realtor first and see who they can recommend as they work with lenders they know can help get the loan closed. My love for Real Estate basically started when my mom would take me to see homes with her. I would see homes of all different styles and sizes. Almost every weekend we would go house shopping and there was something about homes that fascinated me in ways I could not completely understand at that time; but... what really caught my attention was watching other couples and seeing their eyes light up with excitement as they first entered a room.
It brought me a sense of excitement just watching them, and when I saw the opportunity that I can do what I love but also helping others fulfill their dreams; that’s when I realized that this is what I wanted to do. I'm very passionate about meeting people from all over and I'm proud to say that I'm in a career I'm fortunate enough to be doing something I truly love.
