This is a story about my experience working with Stephanie Martinez in the process of searching, finding and acquiring a 2-bedroom condo in downtown San Diego in a sellers market, against all the odds and coming out on top. Buying a property in San Diego had been a personal goal for some time, as this would be my first property in the US and further my ambitions to expand my real estate portfolio. Eventually I plan to turn this property into a short term vacation rental; it was a great addition to my real estate portfolio. This was the first time buying a property and not having gone through the borrowing or search process umpteen times, you could say I was green. Not only that, but my borrowing situation was peculiar and we had to seek a non-traditional loan which has a higher degree of complexity as far as the underwriting and approval process.
