4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
After writing and submitting contracts over a 4 months period on 6 different properties and dealing with 6 different listing agents and sellers, the family i was helping finally secured a contract and closed on the home of their dreams. Their perseverance, dedication, and commitment to doing things right and on time paid off. Sometimes it just takes longer, but for those who endure, the rewards are great.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
My adult life has been spent in service industries. After serving in the military, I owned and operated a restaurant for 7 years before entering Mortgage Lending, For the next 30 or so years, I was a Mortgage Banker first as a Loan Officer then as an Executive for Banks, and publically traded Mortgage Operations ending my Mortgage Banking career with the sale of a company I started in 1987. During my Mortgage Banking career, I also owned a Real Estate Company, a Development Company, and a Home Building Company. I 2000 I sold my interest in the Mortgage Company and began concentrating on Real Estate Sales.
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
In 40 years, i have logged well over 1,200 hours of Continuing Education in Real Estate and Mortgage Banking plus the experience gained from handling hundreds of transactions involving the acquisition and/or sale of numerous tracts/parcels of land, lots, existing and new homes, multi-family and commercial properties of all types not to mention valuing for loan purposes every conceivable type of real estate imaginable.
