I am thorough, communicative, knowledgeable and detail-oriented. I feel like an informed client is a good client and I strive to educate all of my clients about the process. I want them to walk away feeling like I have transferred my knowledge to them. I will communicate about the good, bad and the ugly in whatever way my clients want me to. I operate with integrity and I want my clients to feel like they can trust me. I don't force the issue and find that oftentimes, it is best to let a client "sleep on it" unless there is a time dependent factor at play. Buying or selling real estate can be an emotional process. My goal is to take the emotion out of things by remaining calm and presenting the best options for my clients.

When buying a home, you need to know your budget. Working with a lender prior to starting to look is absolutely crucial. Sellers are not going to consider your offer unless they know your financial situation. Choosing the right agent to work with is also critical. Buying a home can be a complex process and you want to work with someone who has experience, patience and thorough knowledge of contracts. A good agent can make your experience pleasurable and exciting. A bad agent can make your experience miserable.
Listen to your agent. Your agent has access to a lot of data points - comparable sold prices, days on market and pictures of listing that have sold. If you price too high, buyers who are represented by agents are going to know this and your home is going to sit with minimal or no showings. Pricing your listing right from the beginning could make or break getting it sold. You don't just want your agent to list your property, you want your agent to sell your property. Pricing high to "leave room for negotiation" is often a strategy that backfires.

I was asked to list a property for an older lady who was moving into assisted living. I went out to her house prepared with comparable sales in her neighborhood (I wrote everything out by hand vs. generating the comps by computer. She needed to do some things to her house to get it ready to put on the market, so I went to work on finding her a contractor. The guys were in and out of her house in a couple of days. I had pictures taken, popped it up on the market and had a full price cash offer the first weekend it was on the market. The lady was so tickled because I basically took over the entire process for her - she had to do very little. That's value add.
I got started in real estate after spending 20+ years in the corporate world. I felt that my skill set carried over well to real estate, especially my deep negotiation and relationship building experience.
I acquired my broker's license in 2021 and I have supervisory responsibility at my brokerage. I have no choice but to understand contracts and the frequent changes that happen in the industry. I have a Marketing degree from Texas A&M University and I am extremely proud of that.
