As a first time homebuyer, I knew it was going to take a little extra juice to make the transition from being a longtime renter to buying my own home. I chose Scott Faust, because, I knew, as a local educator, that he was invested in the local community, and had the experience and patience to guide me through the process at my speed. I had already located a potential option in my price range, and had been keeping it in my periphery for a couple of months. Late one night, I sent Scott a message through Zillow, and asked if we could set up a time to go look at it. Within minutes, he sent me a text to arrange a walk-through. During the initial tours, I was impressed by his willingness to be frank about the highlights and the less glamourous aspects of the property, as well as his desire to make sure I had a thorough view of the property, by which, I mean, we did crawl out of a second story window to get an up-close look at the condition of the roof. After deciding to make an offer, Scott was right there beside me through all of the highs and lows of the purchase process. There was no point where I felt like I didn't know exactly what was going on, or what was supposed to happen next. Scott is a busy, busy man, but I never felt like I was on the back burner. He was always checking-in at every stage of the process to make sure I felt heard, or to make a quick call, if I needed a little more information about the details of a particular decision. Scott helped me connect with all the right people to navigate the purchase process, and helped me negotiate with the sellers to a price that I felt was fair. After years of renting, it feels surreal to come home to a place I can call my own.
