A native of Hickory, I have lived most of my life here. I have seen many changes to the area over the years. I used to shop downtown in small department stores - now we have Valley Hills Mall with over 100 stores. Downtown was recently modernized. A City Walk and a River Walk are 2 projects currently under way. You can get an idea about downtown Hickory at www.downtownhickory.com. You will find a calendar of events, information about the farmer's market and links to The Chamber and more. Hickory has been named an "All American City" three times and was rated as one of the best places to raise a family by Reader's Digest. If you enjoy recreational boating, Lake Hickory has 105 miles of shoreline and several public acesses. I enjoy being a Realtor and helping families find just the right home. It is rewarding and interesting - never dull. I began my real estate career in 1991 and I've made many friends along the way. On a personal note, I have been married to my husband, Doug, since 1985. We share many of the same interests, including tennis and golf.
