About Sam DeLay

Growing up in Central Oregon building houses with his dad, Sam always had a love for homes. Not just the actual materials, products, and finishes - but the values and meaning. Home truly is where the heart is. Sam loves being able to help people reach that ideal.

As a co-founder of Varsity, he has the opportunity to serve people every day in reaching their real estate goals. He uses his construction background and his business experience to bring knowledgeable and innovative service to his clients.

His hobby, which is also his most important job title, is Dad. Married since 2009, he and his wife, Jen, have three beautiful children - Grace, Calvin and Mary June. Their days are filled with sports, school events, skiing and fitness. The kids are their biggest pride and joy. If there happens to be spare time between serving clients and raising a family, it is spent in the outdoors, skiing, hanging with friends, and enjoying the best of Central Oregon's lifestyle.

Sam, Sharon and the whole team were absolutely the best. From the listing to the closing they made us feel as though we were their only clients. They were so responsive that even when Sam was on a well deserved vacation he was in contact and responded to us as often as we needed. Sharons staging made our house show at its best. Sam Delay was our agent for buying a home in Bend in 2021. I don't typically praise real estate agents but Sam is the most professional broker I have ever met. His attention to detail and communication throughout our 9 months working together was truly flawless. He always makes you feel comfortable and confident. He absolutely earned his commission. Sharon Nyberg was also supporting us throughout and she too is remarkably good at her job and so kind and genuine. I wouldn't work with another team to buy or sell a home in Bend other than Team Delay.

As first time home buyers, and completely new to the Bend, OR area, we were very lucky to have found Sam.
