Rusty Paap

Rusty began his real estate career at 19 years old. Working as an assistant in a high-volume mortgage and real estate brokerage taught him both mortgage finance and residential home sales. His knowledge, work ethic, and strong organizational skills sparked a promotion to Office Manager, overseeing a rapid expansion of the company in both size and sales volume. 2015 saw Rusty allied with Joe Velasco and the dynamic Velasco Group, which ranked Top 1% Worldwide in sales volume. In early 2017, Rusty formed his own independent real estate group, within Intero Real Estate, where he will continue real estate sales while mentoring and fostering the growth of agents in his team. Since the inception of Paap Properties, Rusty and the group has seen multiple industry accolades which include: Top 200 agent California 2018, Top 1/2 of 1% in volume and units nationally 2018, Chairman's Circle 2018 Presidents Circle 2017, and Top Intero Foundation Donor 2017-2018. Rusty is regularly asked to speak on industry panels and interviews. Additionally, his drive to foster other agents' success leads him to teach industry-wide classes and mentor agents on a one-on-one basis, regardless of brokerage affiliation.

Aside from real estate, he is also a published writer, having written articles on World War II and Korean War veterans to honor their courage. Rusty also owned a record company where he executive produced, performed on, and co-engineered countless songs. Through concentrated, organic promotional efforts the label and its artists garnered substantial rotation on college radio, as well as multiple positive critical appraisals.
