1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Get crystal clear on your must-haves and a comfortable monthly payment, secure a full pre-underwrite (stronger than basic pre-approval), and move fast with one trusted agent. I help buyers win without overpaying by using smart terms (earnest money, flexible closing, credits) while protecting inspection and appraisal. Bottom line: speed + strategy + due diligence.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Prep like a product: declutter, paint, fix the obvious, and stage to spotlight space and light. Price to create competition (not chase the market), then launch with pro photos/video, floor plan, targeted ads, and strong open houses in week one. I manage tight showing/offer timelines to build urgency and negotiate not just price but terms (credits, appraisal gaps, rent-backs) to maximize your net and protect your timing.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
I have worked with first-time buyers, repeat/move-up buyers, downsizing/empty-nester sellers, luxury homeowners, corporate and out-of-state relocations, military/VA clients, investors (house hackers, 1031 exchanges, short- and long-term rentals, flips), estates/probate and divorce sales, builders/developers, and self-employed clients with complex financing.
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I represented the buyers of a 28-acre Luxury Equestrian Estate in Sunnyvale, TX. A MLS record-setting sale. We won a multiple-offer race with a clean, compelling offer paired with fully underwritten bank-statement financing through my amazing lender and his team. We completed full inspections—general, structural, stucco, septic, and pool. I negotiated a substantial seller credit and no lease-back. We closed on time with no surprises, just a seamless handoff into an exceptional equestrian lifestyle.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I grew up in it. We moved to Garland in 1973 for better schools; my dad bought our first home, got licensed that year, became a top producer at Century 21 under Ray Hollis, and launched our family brokerage (MRA Realtors) in 1976. I tagged along to meetings, showings, and sign installs, then studied real estate at Richland College and earned my license in 1984. That foundation is why I’m client-first and detail-obsessed.

Robert is THE man! . The minute I met Robert, I knew he loved what he does and he always had/has his clients best interest at heart. He was a part of a the entire journey which is rare for most realtors when working with new construction. They typically disappear the minute an agreement is signed. Not only was he a part of the entire journey, he made sure his client was educated along the way and understood the process.
