My best advise it to be prepared. Let me help educate you what will be involved with the whole process so you are not surprised when things come up. When you find the right home you want to act swiftly and be confident that you have the ability to follow through with the purchase. This means having financing secured before you get to far into the home search process.
Make sure your Agent will market your home in all the best way's possible. Not all Brokerages are equal in services. Ask you agent to get professional photo's or even a video. If possible have your home staged so buyers can envision themselves and their things in the home. Make sure your agent will continually promote your listing through open houses and social media sharing. Communication is key. Your agent should give regular updates about any inquires even if there hasn't been any. If no inquires have a conversation about reworking the listing or marketing plan. Learn the market and know that you are in charge of setting the price you want for your home, but the market ultimately dictates the final value.
I work with multiple client types. First time or experienced home buyers, sellers or even investors. My clients best interest will always be #1 for me no matter what.
I had a recent transaction that I had the pleasure of helping a couple purchase their first property that included some extra land acreage. They had a tight timeframe to close and with some creativeness and some other helpful people on our side we were able to close in as little as 8 days.
My Wife and I had always talked about doing this together. In the past we ran a construction company and really enjoyed working together. I've been a professional as a builder and residential construction manager for most of my adult life, working with clients after the decision to purchase bringing their dreams to reality.
