ZillowVERIFIEDPatrick came on very strong when I interviewed him to be our agent to help sell our home. I was somewhat uncomfortable with this style, but thought that his hard sell may be helpful in closing the home. He told me that he had a large number of buyers and a process to bring new buyers into being qualified to purchase homes. He stated that he would be bringing them to see the house personally and would be able to bring them to a close. However, in reality, he never once brought a buyer into my home and his assistant only brought in a 1 or 2 people and she only did one open house which was well attended. Despite his assurances that the house was priced correctly, his main approach is to list and lower the price. He did not provide any feedback on the showings that other agents made on the house unless I repeatedly asked for the information. He kept bullying us to keep lowering the price and to send out offers to individuals at very low prices to sell our house. When we would not listen to him, he became obviously angry. Thankfully we did not listen to him, and were able to sell our house for a reasonable price to someone brought in by another agent. Once we were under contract, it was very difficult reach him. We essentially did not hear from him again unless we repeatedly reached out to him, and he did not provide any assistance with anything after getting it under contract. In addition, on at least two occasions, including for the contract that we ultimately closed with, he did not send us the offer he had received until the next day or later. He was slow to send our counter offer to the buyers as well. Time is of the essence in real estate and I was very concerned that we were going to lose our sale because of his slow responses and lack of communication. On a side note, the company that he recommended we use for the closing was challenging to work with and made several errors on the closing documents including mixing up seller and buyer names as well as errors in the dollar amounts in the closing documents.
