I have been selling real estate for over 40 years! I've been exposed to every marketplace...buyer's
market, seller's market, and everything in between. My best year in real estate was in 1980 when
interest rates were at a record high of 16%. If you can sell real estate in that type of market, you can
sell it ANYTIME.
In 1974, I earned my B.A. in Communication Arts & Sciences with a minor in English from
Rosary College in River Forest, Illinois. After several years of teaching High School Theater and
Speech classes, directing all the school plays and musicals, I decided I wanted to try my hand
in sales. My fascination with architecture and love for working with people to help fulfill
their needs led to a career in Real Estate.
Quickly the top listing and selling agent in Coldwell Banker-Thorsen's Glen Ellyn office at the age of
22, I decided to further my real estate education by pursuing my GRI designation and Broker's
license. Additionally, I have taken courses in finance and appraisal to further my knowledge of the
industry.
In 1982, I enrolled full-time in a joint study program at John Marshall Law School and Rosary
College to obtain my law degree and MBA. Between classes and preparation for the bar exam, I
continued to sell real estate while maintaining status as a "top producer" at Coldwell-Banker.
In 1985, I graduated with honors from John Marshall Law School with a Juris Doctor and from
Rosary College with a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
I am a full-time Broker Associate with BHHS Chicago in Glen Ellyn. I'm consistently
ranked in the top 1% of Realtors in the Glen Ellyn/Wheaton market, as well as a top producer
within BHHS. I also practice real estate law in the specialized area of development and
contract law. I've developed and built homes as a General Contractor in the Glen Ellyn area and
my company is known as Renaissance Homes.
