We just bought our first home and couldn't be happier that we chose Nilou as our agent during this process! We were buying a house in Maryland while living in Massachusetts, and she did several video walkthroughs of homes we were interested in. Her feedback on the houses she toured for us was incredibly informative and personalized to our wants and needs. Since we were first-time home buyers, she also made it a point to show us many different styles of house and neighborhoods so that we had a better idea of what we liked and disliked. Her communication skills are top notch: she responds very promptly and patiently to even the most naive questions, making time on weekends and evenings when needed. What really sets Nilou apart from most agents is her negotiation skills. When we found the house we wanted, we knew it would be competitive with multiple offers. We decided to put in an offer "sight unseen" before the house actually hit the market, which the sellers initially rejected out of hand because they wanted to test the market. Nilou wrote a letter of intent to the sellers with the terms of our offer, and she also helped us make sure our offer was reasonable given the competitiveness of the market (not under or overpaying by too much). The sellers reconsidered, and Nilou even got them to agree to a contingency by which we could see the house and back out of our offer if we didn't like it. Her experience in negotiating with sellers in multi-offer / competitive scenarios was absolutely crucial to getting us our house! Finally, Nilou is very well connected in the MD area. She gave us great recommendations for lenders, title companies, home inspectors, landscapers, etc. Even though it's been a few weeks since we bought the house, we're still frequently asking her questions about our house, and she makes it clear that she's here to help in the long term. We strongly recommend Nilou to anyone who needs an agent... she went far above and beyond what we expected.

Exceptional!! Nilou was with us every step of the way, from pre-approval, through post-closing. She was very flexible and understanding, even when we were uncertain about what we truly wanted in a home (which happened more often than wed like to admit). Beyond helping us find and close on the perfect place for our family, she made sure we were set for all the post-closure items as well.
