Nick Ahrens came recommended to us and I could see why. We were moving from different states and at first, we spoke on the phone. He was a good listener and I couldnt believe the time he took to respond to our questions. He sent us videos with helpful information and would show maps on his videos and I loved that because I'm a visual person and not being local, I didnt understand how long it might take to drive somewhere with traffic. My husband and I then decided to plan a trip to go house shopping with Nick and he took off time to dedicate to us solely so we can get the most use of the time. Again, I appreciated his consideration and care he put into our home search. He was very knowledgeable and just a great guy that you can easily feel comfortable around. He even had great food recommendations during our time house hunting! When we did decide on a home, it ended up being with a new community and even the salesperson of that builder mentioned how she felt Nick was the best realtor shes encountered! Nick handled all our negotiations and made sure to be at any walk throughs and inspections. I'm highly impressed and can say hes been the best realtor weve had the pleasure of doing business with. My experiences with real estate agents have not been exemplary until I found Nick Ahrens. Finding the right agent is just like dating: You likely have to speak with a few before you find the ideal match. Given that selling a home is often one of the largest financial transactions of your life, you do not want to leave it to chance. I knew when I found Mr. Ahrens to be the right person. Here is how I knew: (1) Mr. Ahrens communicated with me quickly and candidly. He answered my questions quickly, clearly and truthfully, which I found to be a very good sign. Mr. Ahrens has a constant pulse on my local neighborhood in Denver and have several recent sales in my local market. He was a good team in meeting all my home selling goals. (2) Mr. Ahrens and his community team kept in touch with me in a way that worked with my needs and my schedule either by phone, text or email. He kept me in the loop, which means communicating with me regularly. (3) Mr. Ahrens shot straight with me. The process of selling a house includes some tough decisions, including decisions about pricing and potential renovations or repairs. That may mean your agent may need to tell you things you do not especially want to hear, but it is ultimately good that your agent does so. For example, home sellers often have unrealistic expectations about the value of their home, due to sentimental factors or because they are going off of the wrong indicators. It is critical that your real estate agent manages these expectations and is upfront with you about a realistic price. While I had to be clear with Mr. Ahrens about my needs and expectations, Mr. Ahrens was comfortable pushing back and having the difficult conversations to make my home sale most effective. In the long run, it will help you get your home sold more quickly and for a better value. (4) Mr. Ahrens marketed my home in Denver, Colorado aggressively. Simply put, homes do not sell themselves. I found Mr. Ahrens to be very knowledgeable about the changing home selling practices and would do whatever it takes to generate foot traffic to get the place sold. For example, such practices include taking advantage of social media, the local multiple listing service, open houses and more. Mr. Ahrens leveraged a number of different options to help raise awareness of the property. (5) Mr. Ahrens adapted, reacted and stayed flexible. As you show your home to buyers and receive feedback, the agent may need to recommend some changes - renovations, touch-ups or even a price reduction. Often when you have not received any offers within that first three to four weeks of being on the market, it is time to re-evaluate your home selling strategy. Mr. Ahrens identified when it was time to pivot our strategy and the best way to do so without sacrificing my home selling goals. I found my realtor Nick Ahrens, who is willing to roll with the punches, is invaluable. In short, I found Mr. Ahrens to be knowledgeable about the market, a strong negotiator, great communicator, and patient; he stays current with - and knows how to navigate - the fast-changing market. I will definitely use him again in my future real estate endeavors.
