We decided to sell our raw land east of Trinidad just as the Covid lockdown started. Monica visited our neighbors to see if they knew any potential buyers. That effort led the our eventual buyer, which gave us the ability to move forward with our plans. Her understanding of the area is a great asset! James Brown may have been the hardest working man in show business, but Monica Violante is the hardest working woman in real estate! We went through a process of buying property remotely in Trinidad, and she hung in there with us doing remote showings through three contracts on three properties (two were killed by the inspections - see below), until we finally closed on a lot for our "forever home." Not only does Monica know her stuff, but she knows everyone in Las Animas county, so she can point you at good local resources, as well. Her recommendation for an inspector saved us from two "Money Pits," even though both ended up costing her deals that would have been more money in her pocket than what we finally purchased! We can't recommend her highly enough.
