Monica helped me tremendously in finding the ideal home and in understanding the home buying process. First, Monica has great communication skills. She kept me informed of potential homes on a regular basis. When I made offers to buy, she made sure I understood what I needed to do and when. When there were competing bids from other buyers, Monica provided frequent updates and helped me strategize how to make my offer more attractive. Furthermore, Monica understood what I was looking for in a home and gave excellent advice. She is very knowledgeable about the housing/rental market and laws, and how they vary from city to city. I learned a lot about real estate from Monica. If you want to do renovations such as adding a bedroom, Monica can help you determine which homes have potential, as she has a contractor's license and renovation experience. One other thing that makes Monica such a great realtor is her flexibility to work with my schedule. At most I had to wait a couple of days to see a home. If I wanted to see a home the same day and she wasn't available, she sent a colleague to show me the home. Also, when I wanted to buy a home but had to leave for a trip soon, Monica helped expedite the closing process to two weeks so I could buy the home. Monica Fosbery just did such a great job for our family. On Sunday June 2, Monica let us know about a 2 BR condo for sale in Pleasant Hill. On Sunday, we looked at the condo, Monday we made the offer, Tuesday, the seller accepted, and Weds, Monica had the appraisal, inspection, and a contractor all lined up so that by Weds afternoon, our appraisal was done, and so was the inspection and by Friday, the contractor gave us an estimate for some repairs. Every step was professional, fast and detailed. Monica worked with the title company, lined up the insurance and the lender, had us signing the final papers on Saturday June 22 and unbelievably, on Monday June 24, the loan was done, the insurance in place, and we had the keys. Really, truly, could not have been an easier process. The condo will need some work, but even after the sale, Monica is helping us with the bit of work we want to do before moving in. There should be a 6 star option with this review, but 5 is as high as it goes. For lending or realtor work, Monica is detailed and delivers. I never thought we could have everything done with zero stress or hassles in 22 days. I have worked with Monica for the last 15 plus years buying and selling properties, but this last time was for one of my kids, and Monica just made everything so smooth.
