At just fourteen years old, REALTOR(R) Miriam Holland got a jump start on her career in the Insurance industry. She earned her license in Real Estate in 2014 in a small town in Stevenson County, Illinois. In the twenty years since then, she has worked in property management and founded her own mortgage brokerage called Trust One Mortgage. Today, she is highly sought after as a REALTOR(R) for investment properties, bringing an in-depth knowledge of financing and negotiation to every deal.

Working with a team that is primarily made up of family members, Miriam's business has expanded to every area in Chicago, including the northern and southern suburbs. As most of her clientele are looking for a safe area to raise their families, she does a lot of business in Garfield Ridge and Clearing in particular, which have a convenient local fire station and police department. From the moment you start working with Miriam, you'll recognize how hard she works to understand your needs. She and her team believe strongly in speaking with clients in-office to build relationships from the outset, rather than just meeting at the listings. "We do 'lunch and learns' and teach homebuyer seminars to educate and inspire," she says. "We involve inspectors, insurance agents and Real Estate attorneys to our seminars to make sure that everyone is on the same page with our projects."

Around 85-90% of Miriam's business comes from referrals, which she attributes to her constant communication. "I reach out frequently to past and current clients, send birthday cards, and wish everyone a happy houseversarry," she says. These cards are often handwritten with a personalized message and business card from Miriam in case clients have any questions. As far as marketing goes, Miriam keeps her outreach in-house with her niece serving as her marketing manager. At least a few times per year, Miriam and the team organize client appreciation events.
