ZillowVERIFIEDMy husband and I found our dream property after looking for months for a home on land. Someone local knew Mindy and highly recommended her as a real estate agent. We called Mindy, just needing a realtor to "close the deal." We thought this would be easy commission for her. When we actually met her, we were glad she was recommended. I have taught property law in the past and, right off, it was evident that Mindy was very experienced and knowledgeable about the buying and selling process. I appreciated that because, at times, we have had less experienced realtors who were not aware of some of the finer points of closing a deal. Mindy is what we would call "real" - she is a local woman who knows the area, appreciates the people, and works very hard. All that to say, when we had some issues closing which we had not anticipated at all (not the fault of anyone else or Mindy), she ended up doing a lot more work for our closing than we anticipated. While we felt bad this closing was not "easy" as expected, we were so grateful to have someone as experienced as Mindy representing us. She not only was skilled at the legal aspects, she is also an excellent negotiator and always let the other realtor know we were still serious, just working out some issues. Her ability to maintain the situation when there were some "potholes" on our end was such a saving grace. She has a very charismatic, but professional, approach to closing the deal which made us comfortable and helped our wonderful sellers have some patience with our closing process. We just found that invaluable for our unique situation. What I learned is that there are alot of realtors out there who are happy to show homes and do a great job at that, but, for us, someone like Mindy who was experienced and skilled at closing and negotiating and keeping things on track was just priceless when we had unanticipated issues. In our view, you are paying pretty much the same for a realtor. After this experience, I would definitely go out of my way to find someone like Mindy who is the top of the line in her field. I believe, in the end, she saved the day and, as a result, we got our dream home after months of looking. A few more comments, Mindy works very hard, is always available, will care about your situation, will try to make things easier, and does a lot of work on her end. I wish this had been the easy sale for her we anticipated, but, when it was a little more complicated on our end, I am sure glad we had someone so experienced in our corner. In the end, both the buyers (us) and the sellers were happy and, because of Mindy's professional and cooperative negotiation style, we ended up just where we wanted to be. Thanks Mindy!!
