About Mike Schatz

My introduction to real estate is when I bought my 1st home in 1981 and was completely uninformed by the agent I used which frustrated me. I entered the business in 1988 when nearly all agents, including the agent with a buyer, all represented the seller of the property. We focused on representing the Buyers best interests, being their advocate and negotiating the best terms that we could for each Buyer. I work with my wife Angela and five additional team members (Amy, Jacob, Riley, Madde and Levi). We all have schedules to make sure our clients are taken care of and while allowing us off time with our families. Most of our clients have used us multiple times and/or refer their friends and family to us. Since 1999 at least 85% of our business has come from clients coming back and or referrals from them. Our Team has been recognized by Minneapolis/StPaul Magazine in their "Super Real Estate Agent" issues every year since 2003. We have had two great experiences with the Schatz team and I could not be more impressed with their entire group. In 2015 Mike helped us buy our first home. He was so patient and knowledgeable he took the time to help my wife and I found the ideal first home at a great deal.Then this year Riley helped us sell this home and find a new one. He had the house sold in under 48 hours and over asking price. I purchase my first home 9 years ago and Mike Schatz was my agent. At that time I did not know much about local market. Especially I had very limited knowledge about single detached home. As a foreign national person, I actually had no experience about American single detached home. Mike gave a lot information about the home and he was very patient and waited until we could find a home that we really liked. That home turned out to be a very nice home as we enjoyed living in the home over the last 9 years. I recently move to a new home as I could afford to move to a newly built home. Mike was my agent again for home selling and purchasing. I could sell my home at good price since my old home had good value and now we live in a nice home. We really like our new home. The selling and purchasing process was done without much problem. I purchase my home first and put my old home in the market after I signed purchasing agreement. I just has one month overlap between the 2 closings. It saved my money for this transition a lot and also I could do all these transactions without getting much stress.

I gave them early info on a foreclosed home that i wanted to bid on. They originally were going to watch for it to go on the market. I contacted them, both Mike Schatz and a couple associates to follow up. Never heard from them again and the property got listed, then auctioned off. I would never contact them again for anything. A waste if my time.

I've worked with Mike and his team for a number of years looking for my first house. During this time I was in and out of the market but whenever I asked Mike for help he was always there. He is definitely the best agent I've ever known or heard of. In fact, he was recommended me by a friend of mine who was equally impressed with Mike and his team. He is like a walking encyclopedia of everything related to homes. If you need an advice or have a question - Mike has the answer. Right from the start if you are looking for a new home he'd talk to you about the areas you are interested in, give you suggestions, and be helping you find your house. Once you have something in mind, Mike or someone from his team would schedule showings, even on a very short notice. Then Mike would walk you through the houses each time pointing out at potential problems and giving you tons of useful tips. He never tries to sell you something but is always looking for what would be the best for you. Finally, when it comes to negotiating, writing an offer, etc. Mike is superb at all of those steps! You can rest assured he always protects your interests. Also for a house inspection he can suggest a good inspector and then himself do the final walk through without missing any tiny detail. He is virtually like a detective working with you! That is what happened to me when I finally got my first house in Sep 2015. I can't be happier than this and most of it is due to Mike and his team. The good thing is though even after you got your house Mike would still be around if you need help with a house issue or need an advice. For example, I've got a leaky water softener that was repaired just before I closed on the house. So I called Mike and he took care of it sending the same contractor who fixed it the first time. They guy came in right away and took care of the problem and didn't cost me a thing. I'm really grateful to Mike and his team for all the help. Way to go guys, you are the best! So if you every need a real estate agent for anything don't look further and just give Mike a call - you won't regret, I promise!
