About Mike Powers

Michael Powers has been a resident of Hilton Head Island for 44 years and a Realtor since 1999. With an extensive knowledge in Residential/Commercial Real Estate Sales, he has helped more than 2000 families accomplish their dreams of having a home on Hilton Head Island or in Bluffton, and he has closed more than $550 million dollars in sales. Michael started out in Real Estate as a consumer just shy of 21 years old when he bought his first property in Forest Beach on Hilton Head. He quickly learned that a down payment of 10% of an $87,500 purchase had a strong return over the next 10 years in capital appreciation, rental income and tax deductions. He quickly began to further his education through personal Real Estate purchases, sales and tax-deferred exchanges. Michael now has a very strong understanding of weekly rentals, market swings and momentums, and professional financing options (without having to jump through all the hoops that can often times accompany a real estate purchase). Through 23 years of establishing strong relationships, Michael has come to know and work with local contractors, builders and handymen whom he trusts to recommend whenever needed. Mike did an excellent job getting our condo sold quickly in a tough market! He was able to negotiate to get us the best possible selling price & guided us with expert advice throughout the process. Communication was excellent, keeping us updated with feedback on every showing and responding quickly to every message I sent, which is tough since I work third shift and my available hours are not ideal for most.
