About Miata Patan
I'm a real estate broker serving the Rockford area. I work with buyers, sellers, and investors across a variety of property types and price points. My approach is straightforward, focused on clear communication, strong negotiation, and results that align with your goals. Whether you're purchasing your first home, selling, or building an investment portfolio, I provide guidance every step of the way. If you're thinking about making a move, let's connect and talk through your options.
Community Involvement
I enjoy supporting local businesses, especially restaurants, coffee shops, and retail spots in downtown Rockford. I also volunteer with the Northern Illinois Food Bank here in Rockford. Being part of and supporting the local community is important to me.
HOBBIES/INTEREST
love spending my free time reading and staying active through fitness classes. I'm also very close with a group of friends I've known since childhood, which makes those relationships especially meaningful to me. We enjoy going out to dinner, soaking up good weather, traveling when we can, and simply spending time catching up and enjoying each other's company.
FAMILY
I have a teenage daughter who is homeschooled and truly thriving. She loves playing volleyball and has a passion for traveling, which we enjoy together. Family means everything to me--I come from a big, close-knit family and have a special bond with my two nephews and niece. I'm half Thai, and I cherish the time I get to spend with my family both here and in Thailand.

FAQ
Start with a clear understanding of your finances and get pre-approved so you know exactly what you’re comfortable spending. Focus on your long-term goals, whether that’s stability, investment potential, or future flexibility, and let that guide your decisions. Stay patient and avoid making emotional decisions, especially in a competitive market. Pay close attention during inspections and ask questions so you fully understand the condition of the home. Most importantly, work with professionals you trust who can guide you through the process and help you make confident, informed decisions.
Start by pricing your home correctly from the beginning. This sets the tone for your entire sale and helps attract serious buyers early. Focus on presentation by decluttering, completing small repairs, and making the home feel clean and well-maintained. Be flexible with showings to maximize exposure, especially in the first couple of weeks on the market. Stay open to feedback and willing to adjust if needed. Most importantly, work with a knowledgeable agent who can guide pricing, marketing, and negotiations to help you get the best outcome.
I’ve worked with a wide range of clients, including first-time home buyers, sellers, and real estate investors. I regularly help buyers navigate the process with confidence, whether it’s their first purchase or a move into their next home. On the investment side, I work with clients looking to purchase rental properties or flip homes, helping them evaluate opportunities and make informed decisions. I also assist sellers in preparing, pricing, and marketing their homes to achieve strong results.
One transaction that stands out was working with an investor who was looking for a property with strong rental potential but needed some vision. We found a home that had been sitting on the market a bit longer than others, which gave us an opportunity to negotiate a favorable purchase price.
After closing, I helped guide the renovation plan to stay aligned with the after-repair value and rental expectations. We kept the updates practical and cost-conscious, focusing on the areas that would bring the most return. Once the work was completed, the property rented quickly and met the income goals we had discussed from the start.
It was a smooth process overall, and it was rewarding to see the strategy come together from purchase to finished product.
I got started in real estate after working as a recruiter in the logistics industry, where I built a strong foundation in sales, negotiation, and relationship building. I’ve always enjoyed working with people and helping them make important decisions, so real estate felt like a natural fit.
At the same time, I was looking for a career that offered more flexibility, allowing me to be more present with my daughter and my family. Real estate gave me the opportunity to combine my passion for sales with a schedule that supports both my professional goals and personal priorities.
I stay actively involved in real estate networking events, which allows me to stay connected with other professionals and keep a pulse on the local market. I also participate in ongoing professional development trainings to continue sharpening my skills in negotiation, contracts, and client service.
In addition, I complete all required continuing education to maintain my license, which helps ensure I stay up to date on current laws, regulations, and best practices. All of this allows me to provide informed, reliable guidance to my clients throughout the process.
