I love doing DIY projects at home on the weekends. I am passionate about home decorating and utilize my skilss in staging homes if needed. My latest fascination is finding different recipes on Instagram and trying them out. I love fashion however, I buy most of my wardrobe online or at specialty boutiques. I truly love walking everyday. I try very hard to get 10k steps in everyday!

My father passed away a couple of years ago so my mother lives with me now and I take care of her. I really enjoy family time with her and my two daughters. My oldest daugher is a Bio Medical Engineer and recently started working with me as a side hustle she processes my files to get them to closing. My youngest daughter just graduated from the University of Cincy and is living her best life in Ohio. I see her as much as possible, however, she works for the hospital and has a very hectic work life! They both graduated from Carroll High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Explore Mortgage options. Several Mortgage companies do have incentives in our market right now to lower your interest rate! If you are a First-Time Home Buyer make sure to ask for First Time buyer programs.
Find the Right Real Estate Agent for You
Good real estate agents understand the current housing market. They know neighborhoods, housing inventory, how to compare homes and help you make a decision, and how to present your best offer to a seller and negotiate in your best interest. They also guide you through the escrow to closing process. This means you want to hire someone knowledgeable, experienced, and plugged in.
Make sure you start saving for your down payment.
Most mortgages take at least 30 days to close. Having a mortgage can be as much as a 30-year commitment. Make sure you’re ready for a home loan by asking yourself a few hard questions:
Are my finances in order? (Good credit, no/low debt, enough cash flow to meet monthly expenses)
Have I saved enough for a down payment and closing costs?
Can I qualify for mortgage payments that will comfortably fit my monthly budget?
Is my income stable enough to afford a mortgage, property taxes and insurance, and other expenses?
Will a home that I can afford now suit my/my family’s needs for the foreseeable future?
Do I plan to stay in the home at least five years? (If you sell too soon, you may lose money because of the costs of buying and selling, as well as the short-term unpredictability of housing market growth.)

Price your home with the right data
The price you list your home at will have a direct impact on when you receive an offer and for how much. Overprice your house, and it will sit on the market and sell for less than it should.But price it right, and you’ll put yourself in the best position to sell your house faster and for more money. “Pricing it right” doesn’t mean taking a biased approach.
Tackle inspection repairs before listing
Having your property inspected before putting it up for sale can pay dividends for you (even if you’re selling your home as-is). :)
Paint your grass
A 32 oz. bottle of concentrated grass paint costs ~$25 at Home Depot and can cover ~1,000 sq. ft. (safe for pets and humans).
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
One of my niche is that I work with several clients that are transitioning into assisted living. My team and I have a ton of resources available in helping this transition go as smooth as possible. We offer staging, helping getting the home packed, estate sales online or at home and referrals to assisted living areas in the area of need.
We love also working for the first rime home buyer and navigating them through the process and explaining each step of the process clearly so they have a real understanding of the contract.

Melissa and Chad are AMAZING! They have made the home-buying process so much less stressful, especially as a first time homebuyer.
