Melisa is an accomplished and motivated Texas Real Estate Broker with a Masters Degree in Business Management and Marketing. For over ten years, she worked as a Small Business Development Consultant for several state and local agencies, assisting small, minority and women-owned businesses with positioning themselves to successfully bid on city and government funded construction projects. Melisa has been in Real Estate since 2007, starting her real estate career selling farm and ranch properties as well as homes on acreage. But shortly thereafter, in 2008, the housing market crashed and Melisa immediately shifted her business and decided to establish a niche as a ShortSale and Foreclosure Specialist (SFR). During this critical time Melisa saved over 120 homeowners from foreclosure through short sales or loan modifications. This also resulted in her being able to save major lenders over $3B in default mortgages during a downward market. Since her move to the Bay Area Houston area in 2016, Melisa has been constantly educating herself on the Houston Real Estate Market, from the areas of waterfront properties, to master planned communities to renowned historic communities. She is a strong negotiator and educator for her Buyers, as well as an expert strategist on pricing and marketing for her Sellers. She also looks forward to working with local buyers and sellers as well as those that are relocating to the Houston area. Melisa always provides support through the entire Real Estate process and thereafter, because being in this type of business, it is about developing long-lasting relationships. Melisa enjoys reading, entertaining friends and sharing her knowledge with whomever is willing to learn. But most of all, she enjoys experiencing life with her husband and three sons.
