Growing up in Central PA on a farm and working at Penn State University as a Research Assistant to then attending Penn State for my Real Estate licensure; I bring a wide culture of values. With over 9 years of Real Estate experience to include residential and commercial sales, investing, managing, and rehabbing homes; I also continued my education to achieve my Real Estate Broker License. I recently had an issue with attempting to terminate a contract. Matt reached out to me after one of his team members refused to mutually terminate said contract. We were informed that to look at a home we had to sign an exclusive buyer contract with almost zero explanation. We signed and looked at one home. Weeks have gone by and we have not been contacted by the realtor about any other homes for sale. However, we have gone to several open houses without our aEURoerealtoraEUR?. We then reached out to yet again mutually terminate the contract so we could find a more reliable realtor to help us on our journey. Instead, Matthew and his team reached out to not only ask us to pay a fee to terminate the contract but also to a friend of the family to pay for a referral fee. Our contract does not state anywhere that we are to pay a termination fee. We also only stated we had spoken with a family friend who is involved as a realtor to explain some realtor terms we didnt understand. This in turn tempted Matthew and his team to seek a referral fee. Had the current realtor from Matthews office been in contact with us and acted in our best interests, we would not be in this headache filled nightmare of allowing us to simply walk away from this aEURoe teamaEUR?. We had to reach out to even see the only home, not the realtor. I can also attest that Matthew is a very demanding individual on the phone when he doesnt like the answers you give explaining that his team failed you.

Did not answer email sent via zillow link. Did not answer calls to the number listed on zillow or return message. Had to look up his office number and call it to get an answer. I guess this should have been my sign to call someone else. Had little to no knowledge of the house he was showing us. Was unable to answer questions about normal things like the pool and home heating systems. Was unable to provide normal paperwork like disclosures. After making an offer on the the house he basically side stepped all emails until sending one saying the house was sold. Very poor communication. Do not recommend Mr Parkes.

My home buying experience with Matt was awesome. I needed to get out of my apartment and had a low budget to work with and within a month of starting to look at different homes, Matt helped me find a home. We put in an offer and they accepted. Matt helped me navigate through the whole process by helping me contact different people that are part of the home buying process. He helped make a potentially stressful situation much less stressful than it could have been. He is down to earth and easy going and very knowledgeable in his profession. Matt was a God-send finding and purchasing a home. He went above and beyond to be there for me each step of the buying process. From top-notch recommendations for contractors and movers to setting up every detail of the purchasing transactions, he handled ever-y-thing! I was surprised how low stress and easy it is to buy a home! This is the 3rd house I've bought in my lifetime and by far the smoothest and easiest process to do so. Matt negotiated the price down by $5K and made the seller fix issues that would have cost me additional thousands more. He will fight for you to get the best price and a fair deal. He also returned my text and calls in less than an hour - most time within minutes or picked up when I called. Don't hesitate to work with Matt and his team. They will listen, find what you want, and make it happen - easy peasy. Can't recommend him enough. I'm in my new house feeling great about my purchase. I plan on using him when I am ready to sell another property I own. Wouldn't think of using anyone else.
