For those who don't know us, we are Matt and Shalin Caren of The Caren Team at Realty One Group in Goodyear, AZ. We live in Litchfield Park, and have two daughters, ages 9 and 4. Originally from upstate New York (Ithaca and West Irondequoit), we met in Rochester, NY, before moving to Phoenix's West Valley. As many people do, we found our way to Arizona by following family members who had moved here before. After visiting, we realized this was where we wanted to be. Although we only met in Rochester in 2010, we made the move to Arizona in 2011 and got married at the Wigwam Resort in 2012. That was the same year Matt got his real estate license while Shalin continued working for a real estate investment company in Scottsdale. Once things started coming together with Matt being a real estate agent, Shalin was able to leave her job and join Matt and we have been working together and helping home buyers and sellers on the west side of Phoenix ever since.

I can tell you that I have worked with a lot of good Real Estate agents over the years in multiple parts of the country and there are none better than Matt and Shalin Caren. Matt worked tirelessly on my behalf and make the whole process much easier. He is so personable and thoughtful and very well informed of the various issues that will arise in the process. No worries. He also has great resources to help with everything needed from the inspection to helping get everything set up after the sale (all the utilities, home warranty, TV, internet, security, landscaping, etc.). I give them the highest recommendation possible, if you go with them you will have a true person in your corner and you will not be disappointed.

Matt and Shalin were recommended to me by a co-worker at least a year prior to using them for our recent home purchase. She is very particular and said they met her every need. Well, she was right. They are the best. They help us out every step of the way. They stayed in constant communication with us and our lender. They even lent a hand contacting the agent used to sell our home when he wouldnt return our calls. The knowledge of the area and the process are excellent I would not recommend any one else. It was a pleasure working with Matt and Shalin throughout our entire home buying journey. Before we started looking at homes they informed us how the process would go. During the search they were beyond attentive to the market conditions and home options. With each listing we were interested in they were prepared immediately for showings and always provided those extra details to help us make decisions. Once we finally found a home, they were thorough with exactly how we should present the offer and made sure that we were prominently placed in front of the seller during the competitive process. We were the type of buyers that asked a ton of questions and they happily answered each one and made us feel more comfortable throughout the process.
