Work with an agent who knows the community well and is not afraid of negotiation. If you are financing, be sure to work with a mortgage broker who does their due diligence upfront. Put together a budget and stick to it... never purchase more home than you can comfortably afford.

Meet with an experienced Realtor before you do any renovations. Not all renovations will translate to real value when the home sells. Proper staging is very important to make a good first impression with buyers. Do not get locked into long term listing agreements.
