About Mark Risley
I have been working as a Realtor since late 2007. During this time I have earned the 5280 Five Star Professional award every year since 2011. I have been a part of the RE/MAX Executives club 3 times, earned the 5 year achievement award and have been a part of RE/MAX's "Top 40 under 40". My goal is, and has always been, to generate satisfied clients and long relationships. I am a member of the Aurora Board of Realtors as well as the Colorado Association of Realtors. This year I became a member of the Colorado Association of Real Estate Investors. I am a Colorado native, born and raised in the Denver Metro area, and have no intention of living anywhere else.I have been happily married to my wife Kelly since 2009 and am a proud father of two little girls. While my business and my family keeps me pretty busy, I try to get out and enjoy anything outdoors as often as possible.

The best advice I would give someone that is trying to purchase a home is to figure out what you are financially comfortable with before looking at homes. Occasionally you will be qualified for a mortgage that is well beyond your comfort level, so try to stay within your budget so you can enjoy your new home without the worry of being over extended.
Make sure to choose an agent that has an extensive online marketing plan. Also avoid the temptation to "overprice" your home. The goal is of course to get every dollar possible out of the sale, but overpricing can actually end up costing you a ton of money.
I have worked with a large variety of clients over the years. From 1st time home buyers to investors looking to buy a cash flowing investment and everything in between... I have just about seen it all.
I recently helped a young family buy their long term family home. As someone with a family myself, helping folks find the home that they are going to raise their children in really hits home. While the transaction was a bit rocky, the end result is a home they will love for many years to come
I started selling real estate in 2007. While I have always been interested houses and neighborhoods, I think my favorite part is helping people find a place to call home or helping them sell their home and start their next chapter.
