We chose the coastal area of Half Moon Bay because of the rural and relaxed atmosphere, but the process of purchasing a home can be anything but relaxing. Luckily, we had Marian Bennett as our realtor to guide us through the process (which took four months for us).Marian took the time to show us many homes ... I think she spent four hours with us during our first outing. She helped us realize what we wanted in a home (style, location, ... ). Her local knowledge of the various areas and neighborhoods helped us narrow our search to specific locations. This is important since buying a house includes buying into a neighborhood.Once we chose a house, Marian handled the process efficiently and professionally and in a manner that shielded much of the stress from us. She communicated effectively with loan and escrow officers and was honest with us regarding timelines and expectations.Marian was always available by phone, email or in person during the purchase process and was always concerned with our well being before and after each step. But her services did not end with the purchase ... she is still available even months later. She stated at our first meeting that she has clients for life and that seems to be exactly the case.I would recommend Marian to anyone looking for a home in Half Moon Bay, Pescadero, La Honda, San Mateo or any other area in which she specializes.
