4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
Two recent transactions stand out to me because they remind me exactly why I do what I do. The first was with a first-time homebuyer who had almost given up on the dream of owning a home. She started her search a couple years ago but had to pause due to life circumstances. About a year later, she reached back out, and I was able to walk her through the entire homebuying process from start to finish. We found a beautiful new construction home in Lynn Haven, negotiated a strong credit so she’d bring less money to closing, and got her into a home she truly loved. Handing her the keys on closing day and seeing her joy, excitement, and deep gratitude is something I’ll never forget—I felt honored just to be part of her journey.
The second was helping an old neighbor sell her home after it had sat on the market for over a year with another agent. I had reached out to check in, and we ended up relisting her home with a fresh strategy. Within just a couple of weeks, we had multiple offers. She was finally able to sell and move back to Kansas, something she’d been trying to do for a long time. I’ll never forget the mix of bittersweet emotions as she said goodbye to her home and looked forward to a new chapter. 5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I’ve always felt a tug toward real estate—probably because I grew up around it. My grandpa built three apartment complexes in my hometown, so the world of property and investing was something I was exposed to early on. Even while I was earning my engineering degree, that interest never went away. I ended up taking a property management class during my senior year just out of pure curiosity. After college, I bought my first property—a house hack duplex with 1 bed/1 bath on each side. We renovated one unit and rented out the other, and that hands-on experience only deepened my interest. Then in 2020, while working on the Navy Base in Panama City Beach, we were sent home to telework. It didn’t take long to realize that staring at redlines on a screen all day wasn’t where I was meant to be. I had always wanted to try my hand at real estate, and that season gave me the push I needed. I made the leap, and I haven’t looked back since. Real estate combines my drive, my love for helping people, and the opportunity to build something meaningful—and I’m so grateful for the path it’s opened up for me here in Panama City Beach.
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
During engineering school, I learned one key skill above all: how to solve complex problems efficiently and effectively. That problem-solving mindset is something I bring to every real estate transaction here in Panama City Beach. While working on the Navy Base, I trained and served as a Test Director, coordinating intricate test events that sharpened my planning, organization, and communication skills—abilities that translate perfectly to navigating the home buying or selling process.
