I’ve always felt a tug toward real estate—probably because I grew up around it. After college, I bought my first property—a house hack duplex with 1 bed/1 bath on each side. We renovated one unit and rented out the other, and that hands-on experience only deepened my interest. Then in 2020, while working on the Navy Base in Panama City Beach, we were sent home to telework. It didn’t take long to realize that staring at redlines on a screen all day wasn’t where I was meant to be. I had always wanted to try my hand at real estate, and that season gave me the push I needed. I made the leap, and I haven’t looked back since.
