We were so lucky to have Lori Benkert by our side throughout the journey of finding our perfect first house. We honestly don't know how we would have done it without her. While we were on the mainland, she found us an amazing short-term rental that would allow our Rottweiler - an almost impossible feat even if we were on-island. Then, Lori got us a free upgrade on our rental from the bottom unit to the larger and nicer upstairs.All while being an amazing landlord, she helped lead us on the journey to find our perfect first house (which we like so much, we may call home for a very very long time:) And, it was a long ardous journey, which we would have been unable to successfully navigate without her. She was always researching, negotiating, and fighting on our behalf. For 5 months, we were in constant contact via phone, email, text, and meeting in person. Lori valued our time and arrived early to every appointment.Once we finally found the right house, Lori negotiated very succesful on multiple ocassions for us, despite the house technically being an "as is" sale. She got the seller to tent the house for termites, pump the septic, repair the floor, buy new gfi outlets, buy a new hot water heater, and include their BBQ grill and two sets of washer/dryers (even though one set was their former tenants') in the sale. Again, she negotiated all this in an as is sale!At the closing, Lori brought us champagne and fresh orchid leis. Thank you, Lori!
