It is hard to express the level of gratitude and respect I feel for our realtor, Kelly Schneider. Our large, military family had moved frequently and had not owned our own home in years. When we met Kelly, my husband had just begun a new job in Westerly and had a very long commute from our rental home. We knew he could not maintain this pace, so there was a real time crunch in finding a home. Anyone who has bought or rented a home in Rhode Island knows its challenges, so we were both a little desperate that we would not find something in our price range in a timely fashion. Kelly entered the scene and made it her absolute mission to put us in a home that suited our family in every possible way. From the first conversation, I was profoundly aware that, from her point of view, this was so much more than business. She made us feel like we were her family. I kept saying it was like searching for a home with my sister! I felt that her goal was to really get to know us so that she would be able to pair us with the perfect home. She never lost sight of pursuing the best fit for our family- she was upfront about every detail and completely cognizant of our limited budget. When I fell in love with a beautiful, historic but daunting house that wouldve proven to be way too much of a project, Kelly patiently pointed out elements that I was not considering and helped me to see the long-term situation with clarity. It was never about aEUR~selling us a house, but rather aEUR~ finding us a home. Without pressuring us either way, she managed to anticipate pros and cons that we may never have considered in a prospective property. When I called her with questions, she addressed every concern, never rushed us or made us feel coerced or overwhelmed. We only managed to get the house we are in because of her diligence and persistence. Kelly spotted it early and arranged a first showing. We all realized immediately that this home was a great fit for us. The buying process was seamless because of Kellys advocacy and wisdom. She left no stone unturned and did not rest until every little detail was in place, coordinating inspections, lawyers, repairs, and negotiating financial and legal details with absolute professionalism and expertise. We have been in our home for two months now, and I am grateful every day for her role in helping us find a beautiful, warm and permanent place to put our family. I cannot overstate the gratitude I feel to Kelly for single-handedly navigating this formidable process. She is the reason that realtors exist- I cannot imagine having orchestrated this process on our own. And I'm sure that every prospective client is treated with the same respect and care that we were given, because its just who she is. Helping families to find a forever home is more than a profession, its her vocation and her commitment to this is nothing short of heroic. Now that we are settled in our home, the only downside is that I miss seeing Kelly! I will always value her friendship and the impact she had on our lives and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Late this summer, my 82-year-old mother made the difficult decision to move from her lifelong home in New Jersey to a condominium in South County, RI to be closer to us. Working with Kelly Schneider (Mott & Chace Sotheby's International Realty) was an amazing experience. In April of 2025, Kelly helped my family and I purchase a single family cape in Hopkinton, RI. The home was listed for $425K and we purchased it for $20K under listing price. Right from the beginning Kelly took the time to talk with me, get to know my family and I, and what we were looking for in our home search. We also had a frank conversation about RIs real estate market specific to the towns that we were targeting. Sometimes searching for a home in this market (at our price point), it can feel like an emotional roller coaster and a grind. Kelly was able to keep her cool amidst our fluctuating stress levels, frustrations, and disappointments. Kelly also had great depth of patience with us as we were toting around our toddlers to open houses. Kelly was incredibly proactive and responsive day or night, answering questions after business hours and even late into the night. We felt like Kelly was our advocate, no matter who we met with (e.g. seller's agent, lender, real estate attorney, home inspector, repair contractor, etc.) Kellys experience and foresight helped us wrap our heads around all the variables of the homes physical condition. We were constantly analyzing homes that were hitting the market at a rapid fire rate. She has a great understanding of how quickly homes can sell in today's market and was always ready to hop in the car and meet us at a new listing. Kelly didnt hesitate to help us research a wide range of topics including local zoning laws, oil tanks, septic plans, permits, and even landfill emissions! She recommended solid home inspectors, well inspectors, real estate attorneys, etc. If I were to boil it down, we were most grateful for Kellys home-buying wisdom in helping us navigate the post-inspection negotiation. Kelly advocated for us and helped us determine what repairs to ask for after the home inspection was complete. This resulted in us getting a new submersible well pump and several other repairs which enabled us to close the deal. Now our kids have a backyard to play in, we have our own space to host family dinners and bbqs with friends, all within the peaceful village of Ashaway, RI. Kelly blends professionalism and personability in her authentic approach. She has a very keen understanding of the constraints which make up a home sale and how that changes with each home that the buyer pursues. We would recommend her to anyone looking to purchase a home in southern Rhode Island.
