I began my real estate career during the infamous 2006 market collapse, just as the U.S. housing bubble burst into full-blown crisis. Home values plummeted, and countless homeowners found themselves underwater--struggling to make payments and facing overwhelming financial distress. It was a time of deep uncertainty, but also a defining chapter in my life. That experience shaped my resilience, sharpened my skills, and ignited a passion for helping clients navigate even the most challenging market conditions. As a brand-new agent in a collapsing market, I had no choice but to learn fast and work smart. I had to be resilient, resourceful, and adaptable. There was no roadmap--just the drive to succeed and a deep commitment to serve. Those early years taught me that success doesn't come from ideal conditions--it's built through preparation, strategy, and unwavering grit. Today, The Gottesman Group is built on that foundation. We've grown with the market, refined our systems, and consistently delivered results in both booming and shifting economies. We believe the evidence speaks for itself--our track record, production history, and real-world data tell a powerful story. It's a story rooted in the belief that every homeowner deserves exceptional service, proven strategies, and a suite of high-impact marketing tools and vendor partnerships. Our mission is to position every listing for the highest and best possible outcome, especially in today's unpredictable economic climate. From professional staging and photography to smart pricing and targeted marketing, every step is designed with one goal in mind: your success. Now more than ever, who you choose to partner with matters. The wrong choice can cost you time, money, and missed opportunity--while the right one can exceed your expectations. We invite you to Experience Excellence with The Gottesman Group.

FAQ
1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
1. Set a Budget and Stick to It
Determine your affordability: Consider all costs, including mortgage payments, property taxes, insurance, and maintenance.
Get pre-approved for a mortgage: This not only helps you understand your budget but also shows sellers that you're a serious buyer.
2. Research the Market
Understand local trends: Look into the current real estate market in the area where you plan to buy. Prices and demand can vary greatly between neighborhoods.
Monitor comparable sales: Check out recently sold properties similar to what you’re looking for to get a sense of fair pricing.
3. Prioritize Your Must-Haves
Create a list of non-negotiables: These could include location, number of bedrooms, outdoor space, or proximity to work/school.
Be flexible: While having a wish list is essential, being open to compromise can expand your options.
4. Work with a Reputable Realtor (ME lol)
Choose someone who knows the local market well: A skilled agent can provide valuable insights, negotiate effectively, and guide you through the process.
Check credentials and experience: Make sure the realtor has a good track record and is familiar with the types of properties you’re interested in.
5. Consider Future Resale Value
Think long-term: Even if this home is perfect for now, consider how easy it would be to sell in the future and whether its value is likely to increase.
Look at neighborhood growth: Areas with plans for development or improvements can indicate potential for property value appreciation.
6. Don’t Skip the Inspection
Hire a professional inspector: An inspection can reveal hidden issues that may require expensive repairs. This step is crucial to avoid unexpected costs after closing.
Negotiate based on the report: If issues arise, you might be able to negotiate for the seller to fix them or lower the asking price.
7. Be Patient but Ready to Act
Don’t rush into a decision: Take your time to find a home that suits your needs.
Move quickly when necessary: In a competitive market, being prepared to make an offer as soon as you find the right property can make the difference.
8. Understand Closing Costs
Budget for additional expenses: These can include loan origination fees, title insurance, legal fees, and more. They typically range from 2% to 5% of the purchase price.
Ask your realtor to clarify any fees: Ensure you know what you’re paying for and negotiate where possible.
9. Keep Emotions in Check
Be objective: Falling in love with a property can sometimes cloud judgment. Ensure the home is a smart investment as well as a good emotional fit.
Don’t overbid out of desperation: Overpaying now could mean trouble if you need to sell in a down market later.
10. Plan for the Future
Envision yourself there for a few years: Unless you’re buying with the intent to flip the home, buying should be part of a longer-term plan.
Consider changes in your lifestyle: Think about potential family growth, job changes, or other lifestyle factors that could impact your housing needs.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
First watch my recent video of why about 15 percent of homes come back on the market after inspection: https://YourExpiredListingSolution.com -
Over the years I developed a high drive to provide service service service for my clients. Hands down, we offer more value added services than any other company out there. Why??? Because it is a win win for everyone. It makes our job so much easier to sell your home, in the fastest amount of time, with little hassle, bringing discerning buyers that are motivated to get to the closing table.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
All types! WE absolutely love working with anyone who needs our service
4. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I became a Realtor in 2006 when we moved to Florida. My father was a custom home builder growing up and my husband and I were flipping homes we would buy and fix up. After our first daughter, I became a full time agent to help support our family and it has been the best career choice I could have made. I absolutely love working with people and providing the best honest and professional service to my clients.
5. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I feel fortunate to have closed over 1,000 transactions in my career as a Realtor. Prior to this, I worked as a stockbroker in Silicon Valley before relocating to Florida. This background has given me a knack for working with investors, timing market shifts, and guiding my clients with tailored advice. Being a Realtor is an honor and a significant responsibility that I take seriously. I am committed to providing clients with all the necessary facts for informed decisions. Experience and a proven track record are vital in this industry, ensuring clients’ best interests are genuinely served. Many agents, especially newer ones, may not have the depth of experience needed to fully protect their clients, highlighting the importance of seasoned expertise and trustworthy, verified reviews.

We originally listed our home with another agent and saw no tractionaEUR"116 days on the market with zero serious interest. Then we found The Gottesman Group. Lisa and her team completely rebranded our home, listed it at $50,000 more than before, and had it under contract in less than 30 days. The photos, staging, and marketing made it feel like a brand-new home. In a market where buyers are hesitant, this group made all the difference. Highly, highly recommended!

Lisa was an integral part of selling our home in Fort Myers. She was knowledgeable about the local area there and how to manage the pricing and promotion of our home. She was realistic in encouraging our expectations and was willing to shift if necessary. Jenna did a fabulous job of staging our home keeping in mind that we still needed to live there. Her staging was perfect making our home look super special to potential buyers.Lisa and her team were super responsive to changes that we needed and we tried to follow suit. And our home sold quickly! Our experience with Lisa was the best!
