In January 2022, I decided to find a ground-up new home build in Belton, TX. Having been unimpressed with my previous realtor, I sought advice from a friend who had recently moved. She enthusiastically recommended her agent, Lisa Copeland. I met with Lisa to discuss my short-term and long-term goals: in the short term, locating a site and builder for my new home, and in the long term, handling the sale of my current home in Round Rock. Lisa was immediately on board with my plan, and within a few days, we began our search for the perfect site and builder in Belton. Lisa's familiarity with the area was evident as she guided me to the ideal lot and floor plan within a development by one of the area's premier home builders. Her prior business relationship with the builders representative smoothed the process considerably. We returned to the office, discussed the particulars, and Lisa ensured all my needs would be met. By the end of the day, I had signed the contract. I could hardly believe it myself. I felt incredibly comfortable with both Lisa and the representative and was thrilled to have accomplished such a significant first step in my move. Upon the completion of my new home in November 2022, it was time to focus on the second part of our plan: selling my Round Rock home. The market had shifted since I began my search, with the frenzied days of multiple offers having died down. Lisa explained these changes and conducted a thorough assessment of my home and comparable properties in the area. She suggested a list price that I found reasonable and fair. With my new house awaiting me, I was anxious to sell and move on but also aware that homes were taking longer to sell due to the market changes. Lisa managed all the seller paperwork and other details with ease. She held open houses and promoted the property on MLS and among her colleagues. My role was simply to wait for a buyer. I was overjoyed when, just 19 days after listing my home on MLS, I had a pending contract at $3,000 over the asking price. Throughout the process, Lisa skillfully negotiated several issues to my satisfaction, leading to a closing three weeks later. I felt as though I hadnt lifted a finger; Lisa had truly handled everything.
