When I chose to move out of state, to be close to my elderly parents, I rented out my home in California. Then, twelve years quickly passed, and my tenant notified me that she, too, would be moving out of state. By this time, my father, now a widower at 94 and in Home Hospice, needed me 24/7. Caring for him and trying to find a new tenantaEUR"300 miles away, was just too much for me. I had to find a Realtor with whom I could work, long distance, AND TrustaEUR| like Family! Amazingly, I found, just that, in Laurie and Mike Nowland. They are like no Realtors I have ever met. The personal attention they provide, the Heart and Soul they put into their work, is difficult to adequately describe in a simple, online review. Laurie, with her attentive and compassionate demeanor, earned my trust almost instantly. After discussing her and Mikes combined experience and extensive knowledge of the area, I knew -- Laurie and Mike -- The Nowland Group was the very Team that I needed! From the word "Go," Laurie got the ball rolling - finding comps, making appointments with contractors, cleaning companies, photographers, contacting anyone and everyone needed to get the work done. In tandem, she would be guiding me on where best to spend money for upgrades that would grab a buyers attention. Laurie even shopped and bargained for products and services, on my behalf. Yes, Laurie aEUR~Took Charge, but her professional conduct made it very clear that I, as the client, was always the one in complete control. Mike worked tirelessly; he took on a long list of tasks. I would often hear of him running off to one or the other Home stores. Other times, he was there, overseeing the contractors, making sure their work was not only complete, but 'Up-to-Par." Together, Laurie and Mike brought out the very best in my home and assured me, it would Not be "on the market" for very long! True to their word -- It sold in 12 DAYS! Just the thought of selling my home from afar, while caring for my father, was beyond overwhelming. Mike and Laurie helped me stay Grounded and helped me keep things in Perspective. As would a dear friend or a close family member, they provided me with their Full Support. Together, they were my Strength. Like Angels Watching Over Me, they Guided Me, and Handled Everything without my presence. They Eased my Burden, every step of the way. I genuinely Felt SafeaEUR|knowing I was In Their Care. Never Too Busy to take my call - Never Too Busy to take on, what could notaEUR|from a distance. To say Laurie and Mike went the "Extra Mile" is so clichA(C), but so very true. Laurie was fantastic to work with. The first time I met with her and her husband Mike, we felt comfortable interacting with them. I really appreciated that they werent just selling us any house, as fast as they could. They took the time and spent multiple months looking with us, and sending us house recommendations that might fit what we were looking for.
