Laura is amazing! She helped us purchase our home in 2012 and her expertise and guidance was flawless!! She helped us recognize what we wanted and where we needed to be in terms of pricing and accommodations. She even helped us get an amazing deal on the home! Currently she is helping us sell as well and the experience is just as amazing! Laura is very personable and she feels like family!
FAQ
Go through the prequalification/preapproval process before looking at homes. The buying process can be overwhelming if you are not prepared, especially in a market with a lack of inventory like we have been experiencing for sometime now. Prequalifying for a loan will not only let you know the budget you are working with, it will also let us know what type of loan you qualify for. Certain loan programs have different property condition requirements. For example, an FHA loan will require the property to be in livable condition with no major repairs needed and ALL major systems must function correctly. Depending on the amount your lender is willing to lend, your home search may be difficult.
My husband and I have purchased seven homes since 2004. My favorite piece of advice to share with the sellers I talk to is more for preparing to move. Declutter! Declutter multiple times. Before you list your home, while you are packing your home for the big move, and again before putting your things away in the new place. Other than that, call me to discuss whether working with me would be a good fit for both of us, once you decide it is time to go...
I work with both buyers and sellers. I specialize in residential properties, corporate relocation, and Foreclosure sales.
My most accomplished transaction was when I helped someone save his home. It was a reverse mortgage about to be foreclosed on. We went through the steps, he listened to my advice, and I found the perfect lender. It did take about six months to close, but it was the most fulfilling thing I have ever done to help someone!
I started my Real Estate career in Louisiana back in September 2010. My husband moved us around every two to four years with his company at the time and I needed something that I could easily transfer wherever we were moved to next. I also needed a career that allowed me to stay home with my kids.
I am certified as a Military Relocation Specialist through the National Association of Realtors, I have extensive experience on both the buyer and seller side of Corporate Relocation, and I am a Certified Short Sale and Foreclosure Specialist.
