Welcome... If you know me well, you know that nothing makes me smile more than hearing someone ask, "So how did you get into real estate?" Because even though I didn't have a smooth ride into entrepreneurship, my story is one that I am proud to share. Before there was a top-ranked agent who owned her vocation with confidence. Before the seasoned resume of happy clients served. Before the Circle of Excellence Sales Awards, RE/MAX Executive Club and RE/MAX 100% Club Sales Awards, hanging on my office wall... There was a corporate gig that I assumed would be my life for the long-term. Long hours spent in front of the screen without the cash flow to justify it. Missed opportunities with my precious son, Zachary, that left me wondering whether my job would ever allow me to prioritize what matters most. Then there was company downsizing--the day I got laid off. The dark period that followed was marred by low confidence, botched plans, and anxious nights. Desperate to rebound, plagued by all the fears that come with unemployment, I searched for options. Only to be left second-guessing yet again. Finally things took a turn for the better. I was having a casual conversation with my 11-year-old son while driving home from school one day, joking about my career plans and inviting his input. "Maybe I should be a cashier at the grocery store," I said. "Or maybe I should be the lunch lady at your school, so I can see you more often." "No, Mom," Zachary said. "You need to do something that makes me proud of you." I was surprised. I asked him what he thought I should do. My boy fell silent, thinking, and then he said: "Why don't you be the person that sells houses?" You could say that the rest is history. Inspired by my son, after weeks of struggling through a cascade of personal setbacks, I did the soul work to identify my next step. And I took it. My early days as a Realtor were not without ups and downs. But with every step forward, I learned to optimize my efforts so that I would never experience another crippling season of self-doubt, or have to explain to my son why I missed another soccer game or mealtime. Best of all? Through this journey in real estate I've been honored to help so many people sidestep their own struggles to achieve the lifestyles and ownerships they crave. Over my years as a RE/MAX agent, I've developed a reputation for building genuine friendships with my clients while being relentlessly hands-on through each transaction. Ultimately my success is measured by one thing: trust. I safeguard the faith my clients place in me and am committed to knowing and valuing their needs. I believe in connections that extend far beyond the closing table, too--whether that means stopping by the homes of my buyers and sellers throughout the year to reconnect, or opening up my home every Sunday before Thanksgiving just to share coffee, homemade pies, and conversation with clients. I believe in being honest. Relaxed. Experienced. Caring. Someone you can rely on to be relational, not just transactional. Someone you know to be consistent and tenacious in an ever-changing industry. Someone who can simplify complex processes with ease, and a dose of fun and good humor along the way. Little did I know over eight years ago that what began as an unexpected career pivot, born of a difficult season and a desire for something more, would become my greatest professional legacy. This is the story that propels me forward daily in this business. For me, life begins at home.
