Upon arrival to the Big Island, I obtained my Realtors license and spent the first 8 years working with and learning from an amazing company. But, as an entrepreneur my entire life, I could not remain in the employ of another for too long. So, my husband and I decided it was time to create our own company, Hawaii Estates where we work with clients both locally, nationally and internationally. I am proud to say that over our first two years in business, Hawaii Estates sold over 28 million dollars of Real Estate for our very satisfied clients. As such my husband Chairs the Professional Standards Committee for the local Realtors Association and I sit on the Grievance Committee. Our commitment to honesty and disclosure is second to none. More about my pre-Hawaii life...after graduating from college at the University of Houston with a Fine Arts Degree, I began investing in Real Estate in the Houston area. I negotiated over 100 personal transactions in about 10 years. I have experience with all types of properties, including single family and multifamily homes, townhomes and condominiums. I learned firsthand how to renovate and remodel these properties, doing much of the work myself. During this time, I met and eventually married my husband. We combined our talents and companies; and for the next 10 years, we ran our construction and remodeling company together. We also opened a natural gas standby generator sales, installation and service company. In our hearts, however, we were feeling that our time in Houston was ending and that we needed to move our growing family to Hawaii. So, we closed our construction company, sold our remaining property and made the move to the Big Island. I decided that Real Estate would be an ideal fit as I had so much experience with buying and selling property already. With extensive knowledge of negotiating contracts, buyer and seller needs, relationship management and customer service, I firmly believe my past experience gives me valuable insight into the needs of both Buyers and Sellers and taught me the traits, ethics and skills necessary to be a great Realtor. In my spare time, I love to hike, swim, do yoga and generally be active. I volunteer for various charity events through the West Hawaii Realtor's Association and spend as much time with my family enjoying all that Hawaii has to offer. With warmest Aloha, Kendra
