Make a checklist of your "wants and needs" in a home, and be prepared by talking with a local lender. Drive by the homes of interest during busy times throughout the day. Know the areas, distances you want to be from a grocery, doctors or hospitals.

Find a local Realtor you work well with and trust. Have a current market analysis done to help price right and be prepared for items that could come up on a home inspection/appraisal, it helps to address any known issues prior to listing if you have the means to do so. Be prepared for showing requests and communicate with your Realtor, we are working for you and want to know how we can do our best for you.
