Having lived in my house for decades, it has accumulated decades worth of clutter along with decades worth of wear and tear. With all my friends slowing moving to the northland, I wanted to move as well, but was dreading the process. My realtor Keith Viken guided me through the whole process, including recommending who to use to remove a ton of clutter, recommending who to use to have my wooden floors sanded and refinished, who to use to have house painted, and who to use to have a non-working exhaust fan replaced and who to use to have a non-working light repaired. Keith first helped me with purchasing a new home. He took me to a few houses to find out what my style was and to take note of any requirements I had, such as wanting a house that backed to woods. It did not take Keith long for him to find the perfect house for me to purchase. Once I moved, then Keith got to work on coordinating all the various trades to get my old house ready to sell. The house was put up for sale and in one day, he presented me to multiple offers all of which were tens of thousands of dollars over asking price. Keith made the entire process a breeze and I highly recommend him if you are considering selling, buying or both, like I did.

I wish everyone had the house buying experience we had with Keith. We wanted a bigger house with a better kitchen. We had a lot of other items on our wish-list that we knew would make the search difficult (green space behind the house, 3-car garage big enough for a very large truck, house cant face north, etc.). Though we wanted a bigger house, we were not in a rush to move. And we certainly didnt want be pressured into buying something we didnt absolutely love. So, we held off on finding an agent until we found a house we really wanted. After months of looking at listings on Zillow, we finally found a house we wanted. We got Keiths name from a friend and called. Unfortunately, that house was already under contract. But Keith chatted with us and asked if he could help. We explained that we were not in a rush and didn't want to be pressured. Keith was very understanding. He asked us to complete a questionnaire and then spoke with us for quite a while to get an understanding of what we were looking for in a home. Over the next few months, Keith sent listings and would show us houses. Keith did a great job of keeping in contact, but not making us feel any pressure. I was really impressed with how much Keith would remember about what we liked, and didnt like, about the properties we viewed. There were times when he would notice something that we had not seen in the current house but didnt like in a previous house. Wow! When we found the house we liked being built, Keith was with us every step of the way to help ensure that we stayed in budget. Keiths advice was so valuable! We were tempted to upgrade everything, but we had to keep in budget. Keith guided us to make good decisions that added lasting value to our house. I cannot recommend Keith highly enough. He never pressured us, he was always on top of everything, he was satisfied until he knew that we were happy.
