Tom and Katie initially relocated to Bigfork in 1987 to manage the sales and marketing efforts of the Eagle Bend Golf Community and transitioned into the ownership and development of Trails West Real Estate. In 2015, they transitioned to Glacier Sotheby's in Bigfork and are very excited about offering an worldwide marketing platform to their clients. They love Bigfork and have always believed in supporting this wonderful community by being involved in a variety of local organizations. They have served on the local school board, the Bigfork Playhouse Foundation Board, the Chamber of Commerce, the Bigfork Community Development Board, The Eagle Bend Scholarship Board, among others. With the help of some great friends, family and excellent teachers, they raised two wonderful children who are working in the fields of their choices. Daughter, Elli, is pursuing her business expertise in Portland, Oregon and Casey, their son, is an actor in Los Angeles. You may see him on television and live theater! Back to Bigfork. Tom and Katie love real estate and believe in the importance of supporting and helping to improve their livelihood, the real estate industry. They serve, or have served on the local Board of Realtors and the Montana Board of Realtors as members on Legislative committees, Political Action committees, Professional Standard committees, educational committees, among others. Katie has taught the Ethics training for all new agents. Tom was the Flathead Valley Salesperson of the Year in 1993, 2001 and 2004 and the Montana Association of Realtors Salesperson of the year in 2004. Just so you know he hasn't been working hard the last seven years, they discontinued the honor in 2006! The Browns love the Flathead Valley lifestyle! The Flathead Valley offers unparalleled recreational opportunities. In his free time, Tom can be seen flailing his way out of the trees and sand traps at Eagle Bend and or one of the other excellent courses around the valley. His passion for golf has worn off on Katie as she now has contracted the golf bug. However, her real passion is tennis. She plays locally with a group of other ladies and has been known to travel around the state competing in USTA tournaments. They live on the Swan River, near Bigfork, so of course they find time to spend some time on the water. With two great down-hill ski areas within 45 minutes and hundreds of miles of cross-country trails, they do make time to get out and enjoy the snow. Then there are the thousands of miles of hiking trails through the Bob Marshall and Mission Mountain Wilderness areas and, of course, Glacier National Park!
