About Karin Gustafson
Karin Gustafson was born and raised in Orland Park, IL and made the move to Northwest Indiana with her family over 20 years ago. Karin Gustafson is a graduate of DePaul University, where she earned a BA, in Business. After graduation, Karin decided to give sales a try and sold Yellow Pages for local phone directories. This job taught her many things about sales! One important thing was how to search to find the perfect business for specific ad space. With much exposure to local businesses Karin Gustafson began to encourage business owners to network locally with other businesses. Karin soon realized that she was not only an entrepreneur but a match maker of sorts! This led her to create small internet startups including email marketing, local search optimization and a website design company of her own, but Karin found that something was missing. Most of her work was now done through email, and she was missing the piece of the puzzle that brought her to her success in the first place, which is connecting with people.
So she took her outside sales, (search skills) and her people skills (clients) and began a career in Real Estate, where she helps people buy and sell homes and Karin hasn't looked back! Karin's goal is to offer buyers and sellers the best Real Estate services possible. She loves meeting new people and helping them achieve home ownership.

FAQ
There is no such thing as a perfect house. You have to decide what you can and can't live with. Be patient we will find what you are looking for!
You have to remove the emotion when selling your home. The price is truly determined by the market. It's better to price your home at the market value and not to bump it up thousands of dollars for negotiating purposes- we can always say no if its too low.. Be patient!
I work with first time home buyers, growing families needing more space, or less space. I work with clients of all ages.
This is only my 6th year in the business and I can honestly say, that no two transactions are the same. The dynamics of the people on the buyer and seller side, the cultures the combinations are endless. I'm fond of every closed transaction! :)
I sold marketing to an agent and he kept trying not to meet me. I wouldn't quit until I had my meeting with him. He told me I should sell Real Estate. So I took the class and received my license in IN and IL
Yes. I definitely attribute my Yellow Page sales days to my success! I love the hunt- looking for a home for my clients and being the first one to show it, its similar to finding new businesses and home based businesses to sell marketing too!
