I write very few of these, and need to be properly motivated. I met Karen when doing a 1031 from Oahu. I have always wanted a property in Waimea on the Big Island of Hawaii. She came up after the first realtor fell short of my expectations. The easiest way to lose me is slow or no response to my emails, text or phone calls, and worst of all just throwing properties at me to see if they stick. Karen was extremely responsive, knowledgeable and very well versed in the area(s) we were considering. Unfortunately we werent able to find a property in our budget but it wasnt for lack of effort on her part. If you know what you want and are willing to place your trust in an Agent, you need to speak with Karen.

Since my wife and were new to the Big Island real estate market, we did not have any recommendations nor were we able to select an agent via Zillow. But we certainly hit the jackpot when Karen Ferrara reached out to us after we expressed interest via Zillow about the property we now own. From the very first conversation, we could sense just how warm and genuine of a person she was. Throughout the entire process, even during the most stressful of times, Karen remained warm, personable, enthusiastic and extremely responsive. She took the time to help us thoroughly consider our options so that we were confident with our choice. She struck the perfect balance of listening to our needs, staying within budget and not being afraid of telling us when we our expectations were unrealistic. Karen has also put us into touch with some of our new neighbors and even helped us find tenants for our property. Working with Karen feels like collaborating with an extremely resourceful friend on an exciting new project. We hold Karen in the highest regards and can?t wait to celebrate with and thank her in person when we?re finally able to travel to Big Island. At the time that my wife and I purchased our home, Marie was not yet a licensed real estate agent, but was a member of another agents team. We moved to Waikoloa Village from upstate New York approximately 1 1/2 years after closing. During that time, Marie made regular visits to our new home to ensure that everything was in order, paying particular attention following storms. She regularly sent us pictures, which really helped keep our minds at ease, knowing that our new home was in good hands. Additionally, she coordinated and oversaw the delivery of furniture to our new home from another Big Island property, and even directed the set-up of the furniture with the movers. She also recommended a house cleaner for us immediately prior to our arrival, saving us a lot of work. And to top things off, when my wife and I finally arrived, we were pleasantly surprised (shocked really!) to find a number of gifts from her team, including two sets of chinaware and silverware, sundry local items (Kona coffee, etc), and a bottle of champagne to help us celebrate our arrival. I cant say enough good things about Marie. With her personal touch and attention to detail, we were totally confident that our new home would be ready for us to move right in, even though we were 5000 miles away. Based on our experience with her, Im sure she will do an outstanding job now as a licensed agent.
