Also, check out various areas by driving through them at different times of day. Also, ask your Realtor if they can recommend other neighborhoods that you may not be aware of.

A good Realtor will provide you with a market analysis of your home. Don't assume that just because an agent tells you that you can get a certain dollar amount for your home that you will. The best agents will give you an honest price range. Look over the comparables carefully and visit other homes in your neighborhood currently on the market so that you can actually see your competition. Cleaning your house is the most important thing you can do to get it sold. Make it sparkle! Also, spruce up the exterior - you want potential buyers to want to walk in to your house. 1st impressions are very important.
