The best advice I can give is to a buyer is to focus on your needs. People make the mistake sometimes of buying too much house and not thinking about the future. Real Estate can work for you if you let it. Buy what you need with maybe a little extra. Its better to not buy at the maximum of your budget and have that extra money to pay the house off early, and invest in other assets. Then, when life changes and you have to pay for more things, you have room in your budget. This may seem impossible but a great realtor will be able to help you with this in any market.

The best advice I can give a seller is to price their home right! The worst thing you can do when selling your home is pricing it too high, which causes it to sit on the market, and when you eventually drop the price, buyers think there is something wrong with it because its been on the market so long. You can create buzz around your home and maybe get more for it than list price if you price it right!

My seller clients have ranged from those looking to sell their second home, those looking to expand their family and sell to buy another home, and family members who are selling the home after probate. It was quite a journey from having to do some soul searching, to figuring out exactly what she wanted, to making an offer on a home and being afraid of rejection. I worked in a children's home and with kids with autism when graduated from undergrad. I really enjoyed the work. When I was married in 2015, my wife decided that graduate school was the best plan for her career and I needed to find a new career that would have a high enough income to pay for some grad school expenses and the needs of our life. I started in sales at an authorized retailer for Verizon but soon realized I didn't that type of sales as it didn't allow me to practice a service oriented sales approach. While working there, I took my real estate courses part time and eventually got my license. I continued working full time at the retailer while working part time in real estate until I realized I needed to give it my all to succeed and I went full time to better serve my clients.
