Jonathan Clyman

Jonathan Clyman is a full time Associate Broker with fifteen years experience in Real Estate, twelve years in the New York area and three years in Philadelphia. Initially working as a land broker and developer he gained crucial knowledge of the building business. Utilizing that knowledge he successfully represented land owners and home builders with integrity and diligence. Working with raw unimproved land for approvals of hundreds of lots he learned patience. He then moved to Manhattan starting his residential career focusing on sales and rentals of apartments. It is here he honed his skills successfully representing buyers, sellers, investors and landlords. He went on to open a small boutique firm on the upper east side where all of Jonathan's clients agree that he managed the transactions seamlessly. While his firm did business with some of the biggest agents and teams at Douglass Elliman, Corcoran and Brown Harris Stevens he a earned a reputation as very perspicacious negotiator while b v selling over Seventy Five Million Dollars of Real Estate. In certain areas like 72nd street and 79th street of the Upper East Side he became one of the go to brokers for his knowledge and expertise of the area.

An advantage Jonathan holds over other brokers is his understanding of the whole process from mortgages to title insurance. Knowing technical details and inside nuances of each industry benefits his clients because he sees every angle sidestepping pitfalls in underwriting, debt to income ratios and title problems. He attended West Virginia University obtaining a Bachelor of Arts where he concentrated on International Relations and Spanish with emphasis on modern Western Europe. This lead to him living abroad in Santander Spain attending Universidad Internacional Menedez Pelayo where he studied and grew to appreciate the culture of the Spanish People. During that time he traveled from Spain to Italy, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Holland and Britain. This brought forth a Rennaisance of international awareness in him which still guides him in his everday life.

Now a Westchester resident for 10 years he is putting his skills to use in the community. Residing in Cortlandt Manor with a wife and two children, he is involved with coaching and the PTA. It is only natural that he would put his expertise to use where he now resides
