Recently I purchased a home in Idyllwild California. It was my first time buying a home. Jon Millhouse was the listing agent. I had some preconceived stereotypes of what his behavior would be. Mainly based on films. I figured he would be aggressive and play hardball during the negotiations. That he would be my enemy of sorts. Jon was the antithesis of all that. He was relaxed and friendly. On top of that he was fair and very obviously wanted to make the experience pleasant for me as well as the seller. Which, in the end, it turned out to be. But the real proof of Jon's character is his behavior since the money arrived in his pocket. He has stopped by to see how things were going. Has answered numerous calls. And has basically made himself available in terms of my transition to the community. So much so that our relationship is now itself transitioning from a business one to a friendship. My wife and I bought a vacation home in Idyllwild. We live two hours away in San Diego, but Jon went out of his way to make everything easy. For example, he found local contractors to help us with some projects and even met them at the property so they could give us estimates without us making the drive up there. Throughout the entire process, Jon was extremely responsive, personable, and helpful.
