John Dean

John Dean is a 6th generation Texan, with roots steeped in hunting, fishing and ranching heritage, having been raised on a central Texas ranch. John graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Renewable Natural Resources, along with minors and extensive curriculum in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences and Rangeland Ecology and Management.

Early on, hunting and fishing were established as a lifestyle, and as a result, he has hunted on leases and privately owned properties in central Texas and the Hill Country for over 15 years. John has experience in hunting and guiding on low-fence and high-fence properties throughout the state. In central Texas, he has been able to turn several small acreage properties into areas that can be hunted for white-tailed deer as well as profitably used for agricultural operations.

Along with hunting operations, John's most recent position was working with privately-owned lakes and ponds as a fisheries biologist. This involved complete lake management services in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Kansas, and Arkansas over some 4,000 lakes and ponds. Areas of knowledge include fish stocking, electroshocking survey data interpretation, supplemental feeding programs as well as aesthetic lake improvements.
