Jim Van Zanten

Jim Van Zanten is a seasoned real estate professional with 43 years of experience and well over $1.4 billion in personal sales. Jim has operated several real estate companies in the South Bay Area. He founded South Bay Brokers Inc. in 1985, and after attaining 1 billion dollars in annual gross sales, he merged the company with Vista Sotheby's in 2015. Jim is active as a manager at Vista Sotheby's. The company counts 250+ agents.

The Van Zanten Group: Jim leads the Van Zanten Group within Vista Sotheby's. The team's sales volume has reached 80 million dollars annually. Most of Jim's 200+ active clients are entrepreneurs, execs, and business owners. Many of which continue working with Jim for years, and have enjoyed great financial success following Jim's real estate insight.

Real Estate Development: Jim has personally developed over 100 new homes, townhomes, and apartment units in the South Bay. He has also developed 20 homes in the Manhattan Beach & Hermosa Beach area with an individual market value of $1.5 million to $5 million. In early 2020, Jim completed an 11-unit apartment project with a value over $10 million in Manhattan Beach.

Real Estate Investment & Property Management: Jim is an avid investor and owns many investment properties. To manage these properties and his clients' investments, Jim started Marine View Management Inc. in 1990.

Escrow Company e-escrows Inc.: Jim and his wife Jean Van Zanten operate e-escrows incorporated. Since 2004, e-escrows has closed $3.6 billion dollars in sale transactions and $2.2 billion dollars in loan transactions.
