About JIM BIM

James W. Bimstefer, better known as "Jim Bim," lives in Maryland with his wife, Valerie, and his three sons, Weston, Grant, and Garrett. Jim grew up in Howard County, Maryland, and attended Mt Hebron High School where he participated in wrestling, football, basketball, and lacrosse. Jim has volunteered as an athletic coach for the Warhawks Football program, Howard County and Hero's Lacrosse program, and HCYP basketball as well as participating with numerous charities. Jim Bim began his full-time real estate career after graduating from the University of Maryland Baltimore County with degrees in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Business with an emphasis in Finance all while playing Division I Lacrosse. The highlight of Jim's athletic career was starting in the North-South All-Star game both in High School and College and then being nominated as an All-American Defenseman. Having worked through college assisting and being mentored by a top real estate broker, a custom home builder, as well as a land developer, Jim Bim, found his passion in real estate. Jim has also endeavored as a professional business coach, author, and public speaker. Since 1987 Jim Bim has guided over four thousand clients and customers through the murky waters of buying and selling real estate. Additionally, Jim has been personally involved in building thirty-seven high-end custom homes, developed more than five hundred lots, and sold dozens of large parcels and farms. He also has knowledge and experience in commercial and investment property. Jim actively invests in a rental properties and "flips" homes for profit. Clearly, Jim Bim has a broad base of time-tested knowledge and experience that will meet any and all of your real estate needs. Winning Edge Real Estate is the only choice!! We are a young couple who wanted to start the next chapter and become homeowners. After going to a couple open houses with multiple real estate agents that seemed pushy and unwelcoming for our financial and uneducated housing situation. My aunt recommended Jim Bim and his team. We could not have been more lucky to get in contact. From the very beginning Jim made time available on a short time frame to meet with us at a desired property. Jim talked, walked, and answered ALL of our questions no matter how obscure or vague they were. We felt listened to and valued. Without a doubt the most knowledgeable, professional, amiable, helpful real estate agent I have ever had (and I've had a number). Sold my house quickly and at a very sold price (especially with the market stallng at the time of sale), made the entire process seemless, and even followed-up post closing (never had anyone do that before). Came in with a professional plan based on market research as to the best way to market our home and executed. As it was a rental property, he even helped us minimize the payment of state capital gains (who does this!?#). Just wish I had more properties to sell in Maryland! If you don't hire Jim, you're makng a BIG mistate!
