I purchased 1768 Carll St. in Nov 2023 with Jennifer Breen as my agent. In my personal experience, this was the worst decision I couldve made. Within weeks of moving in, electrical systems failed, the basement flooded (1/9/24), and by 2025, ceilings collapsed from rigged plumbing and leaks. A written addendum required professional cleaning/removal before closing, but that wasnt honored. My mortgage payment jumped from ~$1,100 to $1,500 due to insurance hikes caused by undisclosed defects. Even worse, my infant tested positive for elevated lead after we moved in. I repeatedly asked for help and invited everyone involved to see the damage. No meaningful response. Ive since filed a lawsuit (Hamilton County Common Pleas, Case No. A2503725) for fraud, concealment, and breach of contract. My opinion: she did not act in my best interest as a buyer. If youre a first-time homebuyer, protect yourself with your own inspector, never rely on referrals, and never close until everything is verified in writing.
